Clear as Quantum – Live!

The EQUS podcast Clear as Quantum is coming to you live!

When: 3 December 2023, 3:30–5:00 pm (includes intermission)
Where: Big Fork Theatre, Level 2, 252 St Pauls Terrace, Fortitude Valley QLD 4000
Tickets: FREE, but registration is required; optional donations to DeadlyScience welcome

Season 2 of Clear as Quantum focuses on existing technologies that rely on quantum science, sometimes in hidden ways.  In this live podcast event, we’re switching it up to talk about things that loudly claim to be quantum—but are they?

In the first half of the show, learn what makes things quantum, and hear our hosts debate whether dishwashing tablets, TVs, cheese, crystals and other everyday items are actually quantum.  We’d also love for you to propose products or ideas for the hosts to dissect!  In the second half of the show, we’ll discuss some of the common myths surrounding quantum science and technology and answer your questions!

This event is suitable for all ages.  Drinks (including alcohol) and snacks (chips & chocolates) will be available to purchase from the Big Fork Theatre Bar.

Clear as Quantum is an EQUS podcast about quantum science and technology.  In this “spooky podcast at a distance”, our hosts chat to leading quantum scientists in an attempt to dust the cobwebs out of the quantum physics realm that's entangling our lives, and share things worth knowing about.  To catch up of past episodes, search “Clear as Quantum” in your favourite podcast app or visit https://clearasquantum.transistor.fm/.

This is a free event, but if you enjoy it we’d love you to show your appreciation by donating to the DeadlyScience Kits-mas party appeal: https://www.mycause.com.au/page/321926/deadlyscience-kitsmas.
