In 2018, I completed my Honours study at the Australian National University, investigating so-called 'fast gates' in trapped ion quantum computing.
After taking a break from study, I began my PhD at the University of Queensland in mid-2021, studying topics in relativistic quantum mechanics, quantum field theory and the foundations of physics. Currently, I am studying problems of localisation in relativistic quantum mechanics, namely how one defines and treats a centre of mass and position operator. So far, I have investigated the implications of a quantised center of mass in the Unruh-DeWitt detector model, and am currently investigating the properties of relativistic minimum uncertainty states.
