Prof. Lorenza Viola

Prof. Lorenza Viola is a theoretical physicist specializing in quantum information science. Following a Laurea (Master) degree in Physics from the University of Trento, Italy (1991), and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Padua, Italy (1996), she has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a J. R. Oppenheimer Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory. She joined Dartmouth College as an Associate Professor in 2004. She has been elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 2014.
